Beautiful San Diego is a top destination for my clients in the spring and the community of Rancho Santa Fe brings luxury homeowners back each sunny season. In my field, it is important to help my clients feel right at home when they visit their seasonal estate. One of my biggest tasks at this property was to completely redefine what a “move-in-ready” home feels like. There was lots to do.

This 5-bedroom, 6.5 bath entertainers dream home, opens up from a spacious indoor living area to an outdoor oasis in minutes (thanks to its massive 45 foot disappearing electronic custom glass door system)- perfect for fun pool and dinner parties. And that’s exactly what our homeowners were planning to do upon their arrival. It was my responsibility to find all that was necessary to not only create a very hospitable home, but one that was ready to host a few dinner parties!

A few of my tasks during this week were:

  • Liaison to home vendors such as plumbers, electrician, smart home engineers, landscaping architects, etc. to make sure everything was working prior to their arrival and schedule them to come out for demo (if necessary)

  • Grocery Shopping

  • Shop for kitchen and home essentials (list provided by homeowner); coffee maker, cutlery, serve ware, fireplace grates, barbeque cover, barbeque utensils, firewood, etc.

  • Stocking home with basic living necessities; Every bathroom was stocked with soap, toilet paper, paper towels, hair products, toothpaste

  • Referrals and recommendations for housekeeping and chef and coordinate dinner parties

  • Coordinated arrival and travel times with assistants

  • Return rental cars

  • Floral Arrangements

  • Throw away anything that will expire before their next visit.

My Homeowners were extremely happy when they arrived, knowing that their vacation didn’t have to start after hours of shopping and prep work. Not only was their move a smooth transition, but their summer vacation home was ready to be enjoyed that very instant they opened the door for their first time!
